	Ease your Holiday Stress Through These Travel Tips Posted on 11/23/2010 During busy travel periods, such as Thanksgiving week, customers are encouraged to pack your patience and be prepared. The following tips will assist in your travel plans: • For travel in the United States, you should arrive at least 90 minutes before your flight. Extra time may be needed due to the number of travelers and security lines. • For international travel, arrive 2 hours prior to your flight. • Before leaving for the airport make sure to have acceptable government issued identification with a photo. • Holiday gifts should be left unwrapped until you reach your destination. • Passenger Screening: the "3-1-1 rule" applies to all carry-on items: • Any liquids, gels or aerosols carried on board must be placed in a container that holds no more than 3 ounces. • You must place all of your 3-ounce (or smaller) containers in 1 single quart-sized, zip-top plastic bag. • Each passenger is allowed only 1 single zip-top bag. • The bag must be removed from your carry-on baggage and placed in a screening bin at the security checkpoint. • Wear shoes that slip on and off, and wear nice warm socks. • Remove laptops from any luggage during passenger screening. • Limit the amount of metal objects you will need to remove. • Travel light. Less luggage makes for easy maneuvering. • Check with your airline (via airline websites or arrival/departure phone numbers) BEFORE heading to the airport. • Know the weather conditions/forecast for your departing and arriving airports • Keep copies of your travel information. • Follow airline rules for carry-on luggage.
