On Wednesday, July 4th 2012 the Minot International Airport, partnered with the Minot Convention and Visitors Bureau, is hosting a FREE Air Show to the Minot Community to Recover from the Flood, one-year later.
This show will recognize the people, the volunteers, and the equipment used during the Flood 2011 through static displays, aerial performances, entertainment, and jet aircraft in an effort to lift Minot's spirit as the community rebuilds.
Special performances by The Canadian Snowbirds, the Jelly Belly aerobatics flight, the Texas Flying Legends (Warbirds), and an F-18 are included in the show along with other performers and entertainment. This is a special, one-of-a-kind show for everyone to enjoy to be concluded with a 4th of July fireworks display!
Although this is a free event, donations through giving or sponsorships are available to help Minot rebuild. Proceeds are going directly back into the community through a program called "Planting Hope" which will provide flooded residents the opportunity to green their livelyhood through grass seed.
The Minot Convention and Visitors Bureau is the center for more information about the City of Minot, lodging, dining, and other attractions and events to visit before and after the Air Show! The helpful Staff at the CVB will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
